Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter in development at Blizzard Entertainment. The game was November 7, 2014 unveiled at BlizzCon and emphasizes cooperative gameplay with a colorful parade of characters, each with their own abilities and roles in a group. The game is May 24, 2016 entered the market.

Overwatch will be played with two teams of six players fighting each other. Players can choose different heroes, each with unique capabilities and specific role within the team. The four roles are offense, defense, tank and support. Players can change hero in the game after the hero has died. Different maps are based on real locations such as London and Japan. The number of heroes from which can be chosen is twenty-two.

verwatch is set in a near future version of Earth, years after the settlement of a global conflict called the "Omnic Crisis". In this crisis, all mankind was threatened by "Omnic" robots, so named by their creators for their AI. To combat this international force was formed called Overwatch which served to protect humanity. Overwatch managed to avert the crisis. For years afterwards Overwatch remained as peacekeepers until, after allegations of corruption and sedition, the headquarters of Overwatch was attacked suddenly and then let Overwatch leader Jack Morrison life. After this event, the peacekeeping force was eventually dissolved.
